n 1986 the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) developed a certification exam to test a framers ability to properly care for art. I thought it would be good if I were the first certified picture framer in Dallas, Texas. So off to San Francisco I went to take the all day exam. After waiting several weeks for my results, I received a letter from the PPFA stating that I had passed the exam and indeed was the first CPF® in Dallas. I was so excited because it was a very difficult and extremely challenging exam.

Over the years, before and since 1986, I have attended numerous classes on framing art. It's very important to me that I know how to properly handle any type of art; canvas, paper, photography, three dimentional objects, memorabilia, etc so that your treasures are preserved to display for many generations to enjoy.
